The original prayer area is situated on the west side of the courtyard and the original educational area is just in front of it. The school area today servers as the home of the "Muezzin,” who is responsible for the call to prayer. Prayers are still conducted in this mosque till today and visitors are advised not take pictures or enter during prayer times.
