Corniche treat for motorsport fans in Qatar

Petrolheads in Qatar were given a special treat yesterday when they get a chance to see the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One car drove along the Corniche at almost 300km per hour.
  
As before the Qatar Motor Show, which takes place this weekend, Shell has organized a street demonstration of Ferrari, with test driver Marc Gene displays his skills as he did about 10 laps from the cordoned-off area.  

He finished with a spectacular growing, successful completion of a 360-degree spin in the car.Shell and Ferrari have a partnership for over 60 years, with Shell providing fuel and lubricants for the team that provides the company with the opportunity to test the product at the most extreme level of performance.The event was opened yesterday with a parade of Ferrari's private property, with about 25 drivers take their fancy cars on the track before the main event.
 

 Then Gene's turn to take to the road, and he delighted thousands of spectators lined up between the Sheraton and QNB roundabout with exciting screen and incredible sound of the engine is fantastic.Speaking after the drive, executive vice president of Shell in Qatar, Andy Brown, said: "We are very excited about the Motor Show in Qatar as a country is to increase the international level.  He explained that Shell is working to organize community activities are more in the future. The company, he said, also want to take part in road safety campaign.Genes expressed pleasure in doing the test road surrounded by "beautiful scenery". He said that he enjoyed the trip, as the song 3km and long straights gave him the opportunity to build up some speed he seized the opportunity when he almost hit the speed of 300km per hour.
